8th RAFO v BAE Systems Challenge - 16/17June 01
RAFO have won this years challenge by the slimmest of margins. Glenmore Lodge was used as a reception centre for the 2 day competition.
Day One was an Individual competition held at Inshriach: near Feshiebridge, described as one of the most technical areas in the country. The men's course was 8 km long, while the ladies and over 50s competed on a 5.6km President's course. Well done to Tim and Frances Watkins who took the winners titles on both courses.
Day two was courtesy of BASOC at Uath Lochan, here RAFO & BAE joined forces in mixed teams of 3 for a fun competition. Each team having to complete a blue and two light green courses. The teams were organised to be comparative in ability, and theoretically provide similar times.
