RAF v RCS Challenge 2004

RUSHMORE ESTATE, SHAFTESBURY - 28 MAR 04

THE COMPETITORS

The inaugural Royal Air Force v Royal Core Signals Orienteering Challenge was held on the 28th Mar 2004 at the Rushmore Estate near Shaftesbury. The competition was hosted with the kind permission of Wessex Orienteers at their annual Dorset Delight Regional event. The men competed over the M40L course, whilst the ladies competed over the W40L course. Well done to the RCS, who were runaway team winners on both events.

Thanks go out to Mike Edwards and Terry Crosby for initiating and organizing this first challenge, hopefully there will be many more to come.

The official results of all the courses are listed below, we'll try and get the men's event winner Andy Armstrong to write a few words about the race, although past experience of this request means we'll probably have to wait until the next millennia for it!!
