This section of the website is designed as a resource for helping Officers in Charge of Station Orienteering, whatever their rank or location be, to promote and develop orienteering as a sport at their unit, and to encourage participation in the sport at all levels.

Checklist for Organising an Event

RAFO Posters

There are currently seven posters available to download as PDF or JPEG for you to use on unit to promote orienteering and any forthcoming events. There is a dedicated box on each for you to include your contact details > download posters.

Risk Assessment

The Risk Assessment has been produced as a recommended guideline by the RAFAO Committee. Each Station will require their sports clubs to submit a risk assessment each year. A template is included for club participation, and also for a Stn club putting on an orienteering event. The latter is based on the British Orienteering Federation template > view Risk Assessment.
